The privacy is at the intersection of law, technology and policies. Online data is becoming the oxygen for the new products/services. There is no doubt civilization is at a crossroads in IT, including social media, data, privacy and hacking. The brainchild of the 20th century is maturing and with maturity, comes the abuse and bad habits.
The organizations relationship with their users are built on trust - trust that the data they provide to them will be used only in the ways they understand and expect. So its our responsibility to maintain the end user trust and don't make our customers as "products". Organizations should share the vision but sell the reality.
