Well, that’s a human behavior dilemma. We are very much concern about our Privacy. But on the other side, we almost love having digital companion in our homes. We love them to work for us and handle our innocuous tasks.
But are we sure that there is no one listening our conversation??
A bunch of recent reports confirmed that we are breached. Our conversations with these smart devices are analyzed by humans. Isn’t it scary?
Although US west coast top shot companies have publicly announced that only 1% of recordings were subject to human review but it looks vague to me. Even though Artificial Intelligence is claimed to be involved in this process but humans need to interface to understand the nuances of human speech, patterns, culture and environment.
But there is a good news too. These top shot companies are seriously working on Privacy controls, not only to make customers happy, be transparent but also to prevent themselves from super heavy fines from GDPR.
There are other things that we can do. Delete recordings on regular basis, turning sensors off could be a few of them.
So enjoy the technology but keep your eyes on.
